About the Artist
Hi, I’m Chris, the guy behind Ingison Woodworks. What started as a creative outlet has grown into a full-blown obsession with building handcrafted hardwood cutting boards, charcuterie boards, clocks, and custom wood pieces designed to actually be used, not just hung on a wall and forgotten about.
These days, woodworking has taken center stage. I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands, but there’s something different about turning rough hardwood into a functional piece that people use every single day in their kitchens and homes. I build everything with a focus on craftsmanship, durability, and character, using real hardwoods like maple, walnut, cherry, padauk, and purpleheart to create pieces that are meant to last for years, not months.
No two boards are exactly alike, and honestly, that’s part of the fun. Some designs are clean and simple. Others get a little wild with patterns, contrast, and color. I enjoy pushing designs beyond the typical “striped cutting board” look and creating pieces that feel custom, personal, and unique without losing practicality.
While woodworking has become my primary focus, art still plays a huge role in what I create. Long before the sawdust took over my shop, I spent years painting landscapes, abstract pieces, and celestial-inspired artwork. That artistic side still influences everything I build today, from wood selection and grain direction to color contrast and overall design balance.
At the end of the day, I’m just someone who genuinely enjoys creating things. Whether it’s a custom end-grain cutting board, a hardwood clock, a charcuterie board, or a painting, I love building pieces that people connect with and are proud to display in their homes.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my work. I appreciate every visit, every order, and every person who supports handmade craftsmanship in a world full of mass-produced junk.
